I haven’t been able to bring myself to write in my blog lately. I’ve been dealing with yet another case of heartbreak. I have never learned to fall gracefully. Is that even possible?
Today I heard a line in a song, “You’ve got to learn how to fall before you learn to fly”. Hmmm? I need to explore that closer.
The tears seem to strike randomly still, though I know this too will pass. Time… Precious time … roll me on through quickly. I cannot bare to shower the backs of my hands and keyboard much longer.
Would someone please say something funny!!! I need to laugh.

I'm going in for a root canal tomorrow, ha ha ha, that ought to be good for a laugh...
I'm sorry to here about your heatbreak Melanie. I assume we're talking about a love relationship here. You can sooth your heartache by focusing on the fact that the gentleman is obvious, blind, deaf, and dumb. (just my opinioin.)
... Her mother is 87 years old. Sweet old lady, doesn't even need glasses.
Drinks straight out of the bottle that broad does...

Stop writing and go paint something wonderful! Let it take you to the place you WANT to be. (hugs)
Mili, two things need to happen to get this in the past (the getting up after the fall process) First, this needs to get put on canvas. You know what I mean. Whether anyone else sees it is immaterial. Second, you need to kick the offender in the crotch (figuratively, of course, maybe) but get it done and over with. Take those crotch kicking boots and burn 'em and then find a new fancy pair of "I'm gonna fly agin" boots and head for take off! It's not the falling that's important, its the spring in your recovery. Best to you.
Melanie, I hope things are getting better for you, sorry to hear you are down. I've been trying to come up with something stupid or funny to say that maybe will make you smile, unfortunately I haven't been successful with that. Instead, I'll encourage you to find joy in the things that always make you smile and work through this by making beautiful art and time spent with your fabulous kids.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

You know, the whole kicking in the crotch thing might not need to be figurative either.... :P

The more I think about it, the more I realize there is nothing more artistic than to love others.

Anonymous,
I have always loved this quote from Van Gogh. Thank you for the reminder!
In fact, I just used this quote at an art exhibition just this past weekend on Valentine's Day.
don't know the current condition of your heartbreak, but found a quotation on a friends blog that might help.
"We must be willing to fall flat on our faces, fearlessly putting ourselves out there is simply a required part of the process. At the very least, it results in the gift of humility and, at best, the triumph of our human spirit.
